Caring for someone with dementia brings many questions, emotions and challenges. During the Alzheimer's Café is therefore not only focused on the disease itself, but also explicitly on you as a caregiver.
The Alzheimer's Café is a place where family caregivers can tell their stories, ask questions and find recognition from others who are in a similar situation. Here you can talk to fellow sufferers, share experiences and find support - even if your partner or loved one has since been hospitalized.
During this evening there will be a special focus on supporting family caregivers.
A family care support worker from Surplus is present to tell:
-
where family caregivers can go with questions for help
-
how to get in touch with peers
- Where to find support after admitting your partner
The Alzheimer's Café offers a safe, approachable environment where nothing is required and much is allowed. Whether you want to listen, share or seek information - you are welcome.
